“Let’s talk about American men at their stupidest,” said Donny Deutsch, on the Today Show.

Deutsch, like many others, was unimpressed with beer advertisers and their lack-luster Super Bowl commercials featuring what he dubs “men’s idiocy.”

Despite the disappointment surrounding many of the big night’s commercials, a few passed the test.

Google’s sweet ad featuring the evolution of a trans-Atlantic love story between the U.S. and Paris as told by various searches, “assumes intelligence,” says Deutsch, and stays true to the search engine as a company.

Another success was E*TRADE’s latest addition to their talking baby line-up, which Deutsch described as “simple” and “sweet.”

An all-around favorite was the Snickers commercial featuring Betty White being tackled by football players. The key to its success lies in its silliness and the fact that everyone loves Betty White, said Deutsch. Other fans of White’s commercial: Regis and Kelly.

The night’s most unexpected and most buzzed about commercial: The Late Show with David Letterman ad featuring Letterman, Jay Leno and Oprah. The ad was apparently concocted by Letterman to make light of the recent late night feuds. (Watch it below)

A few of the not-so-great commercials Deutsch may have been referring to: Doritos' ad featuring a not-so-smart man and a dog's shot-collar, and Bud Light's commercial portraying scientists celebrating the impending doom of an asteroid by partying with the beverage.

The ad not getting as much buzz after the Bowl as before: Tim Tebow's commerical for Focus on the Family. The commercial made little to no mention of its predicted pro-life message.
